Gowrie is a bustling community nestled in the midst of north central Iowa's productive grain fields. It is a great place to visit and a wonderful place to live! Gowrie offers a multitude of services that make life simpler and safer. We are served by well-trained and dedicated emergency services volunteers on the Gowrie Fire Department and the Southwest Webster Ambulance Service, who work alongside the personnel of the Gowrie Police Department. 

Health care professionals serve the community at the medical clinic, pharmacy, dentist, chiropractor, and optometrist. A new assisted living center, a skilled nursing facility, and retirement apartments provide services that allow the elderly to stay in their community.
